SB Italia honored by Carbometrix for reducing emissions

On World Environment Day, SB Italia, recognized as a leader in digital innovation and sustainability, announced that it had received a prestigious award from Carbometrix. This outstanding rating recognizes SB Italia’s significant and ongoing commitment to reducing carbon emissions, which is considered a critical issue in today’s global environmental context.

The 2024 Carbon Footprint report highlighted SB Italia’s progress, noting that the company reduced CO2 emissions by 58% compared to 2023, achieving a Quality Score of 96%. This achievement underscores the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and demonstrates its ability to integrate eco-friendly practices into its business model, while ensuring operational efficiency and economic growth.

Even when compared to its own sector, “General Services”, SB Italia achieves an excellent result, with emissions 67% lower than the international average: 79.8 tons of CO₂ per million euros in revenue, compared to the 239 tons recorded globally. These results highlight SB Italia’s role as a pioneer in the ICT sector for its focus on the environment and sustainable innovation.

The reduction in carbon emissions was achieved through targeted strategies, including the adoption of innovative technologies, the optimization of business processes, and a strong focus on employee training and awareness. These initiatives reflect SB Italia’s belief that sustainability is not merely an ethical obligation, but an essential component of the company’s long-term success.

“We are proud to be a leader in the ICT sector for our focus on the environment and sustainable innovation, and we demonstrate this every day,” says Massimo Missaglia, CEO of SB Italia. “In our daily work with companies, we translate this vision into concrete actions: we promote a model of sustainable growth, where process digitization and digital transformation are not just technological opportunities, but tools for generating positive and measurable impacts.”
